Help!!! What to do next?

Carlyr7, 2 January, 2013 at 22:00 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hiya,

i am not getting married until may 2014 and have booked venue, photographer, dj, cake, invitations lady so feel I'm doing well (need to be so organised to spread costs etc!!) we thought we knew what colour we wanted - aqua blue/turquoise type colour but am thinking that before we book anything else like seat cover people etc we would need to see some bridesmaids dresses in the colours to see whether it looks ok in a dress form.

Am I just been picky? Or does this make sense?

also I don't know where to start on looking for bridesmaids dresses and do you normally need appointments just to go and look at them or can I just pop in? What's the norm? Would probably only go with my h2b or my one best friend before I knew for definite I wouldn't go in with hoards of people!! Smiley winking hehe

any help is much appreciated. Or any ideas with other things I should be doing is also greatly appreciated!!

X

Are you planning to send save the dates? If so thats something you could start doing now.

And with dresses I'd start thinking about yours before you worry too much about the bridesmaids.

Not everything within a wedding needs to match exactly so you don't necesarily need to wait for dresses to be chosen before doing other things. Plus if your BM are anything like mine were it'll be hard to motivate them to tie down to something now.

Chair covers, could you book a supplier but choose the colour later or do you have to choose the colour when you book? (I don't know things about chair covers, we aren't having any!)

I wouldn't worry too much about the colours matching. If you pick those colours then you can get different shades of it which really do go nice together.

It depends what you want the dresses to look like. My last bride got them from Asos and they were beautiful and were dresses they could wear again.
