Help!!! With Colour Scheme

Scotlass1984, 22 August, 2013 at 13:25 Posted on Planning 0 3

I have decided on green and purple for my colour scheme. My plan is to have the bridesmaids dresses in different shades of green, but I cant decide wether to go with a beige or bronze shoe or to go with purple shoes. And if I do go with purple shoes do I go with one specific shade or like the dresses have them in different shades. I would have purple flowers probably again in different shades and would select a certain shade for the decor.

Hello and welcome to hitched ?

I think you'd probably be safer deciding exactly what shades of bridesmaid's dresses you are having first and then seeing what shoes go with them.

Although it might keep it simpler to go with neutral/beige shoes to reduce the risk of clashing.

I found some pretty pictures on Pinterest which might help you visualise things better...

I personally love the pale green dresses with the dusky purple flowers ❤️

I had many of the same questions and my advice would be to try out different combinations to see what you like. My bridesmaids are wearing Navy Blue and I always thought that I would get them nude shoes. On the first fitting the nude looked flat against the navy and they have decided that they would prefer either a metalic or a white satin. I guess we will try both and see what looks best.

I would find dresses that your bridesmaids like and feel comfortable in and then work from there. Things will start to come together as you move along.

I was planning in having bridesmaids in different shades of green, so they are all in a shade that suits them.

Bright and bold purple is a good color for green dress or a nude or tan colored heels – its modern and fresh looks makes your legs look longer. It won’t take away from the lines and look of the dress.
