Help with hairstyles and accessories

Magic Stars, 29 October, 2010 at 13:39 Posted on Planning 0 2

Haven't posted for a couple of weeks!

Am starting to look at ideas for hair and accessories and I'm getting stuck. I don't think I want a formal updo and would like to keep it fairly relaxed, won't be having a veil. My dress is similar style to this:

but with a little white/pearl and silver beading on the crossover. Its fairly simple so I think it would lend itself to a nice sparkly head band/comb/pins/clip....?

I quite like curly/wavy down styles, my hair is slightly longer than shoulder length and I do wear it curly on occasion. So quite like these:

What type of accessory would work best? I'm drawn to headbands/side tiaras and love some of the ones on glitzy secrets but would a comb be better and more versatile if i decided on a slight updo? Going round in circles and not really sure what I would like.

Any help would be appreciated!

Either a comb or a side tiara would look beautiful (and combs work really well with wavy hair with it pulled up to one side).

I'm in the middle of making a gorgeous side tiara with three focal embellishments, one large and two smaller each side of the large. If you'd like me to email you a photo of the work in progress please let me know - ****@***********.**.**. The focal pieces are also going to go on combs and hair pins so, again, if you'd like to see the design I can send over pictures.

Otherwise, there are lots of ideas on my website www.louloubelle.co.uk:
    - side tiara and other bands here http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/tiaras_bands.html
    - combs here http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/combs.html

Any current designs can be adapted but I also offer a bespoke design service http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/bespokeservice.html and would love to design something especially for you. I've designed lots of hair accessories lately for bespoke orders so have plenty of ideas.

If you'd like to discuss anything, please feel free to drop me an email on ****@***********.**.**

I'd say either a slide or a simple sparkly band would work well.

I'm not on my normal computer at the moment so cant get the photos but have a look at my website to see if you like any of the styles.

If you have any particular ideas or colour ideas etc let me know. I offer a completely bespoke service, so just let me know what you're after!!

    Hi,

Your dress is lovely and your hairstyle sounds perfect for your floaty dress.

Here are a couple of ideas for you however I'm happy to chat to you without obligation just to help you narrow down your choices.

This is one of my brides wearing a limited edition tiara . The same design is still available along with similar ideas - http://lynseysdesigns.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/fgallery/fim_photos.php?album=tiaras. I also have plenty more options if you wanted to go for a focal side design. The good thing about these designs is that I will only ever be making a couple of them so you can be sure of having quite a unique piece.

This is RaeF, another hitcher, who wore a double band I designed

The double bands are available in various materials so this is just one of the options using diamontes and pearls more options are in the same link above.

This is a really simple but gorgeous band encrusted with Swarovski Crystals and Pearls. and again a hitcher wearing it

Another Limited Edition worn by a hitcher

This is a brand new designs only completed last night

Due to increasing workload I don't have all my new designs on the website so have a nosey at my Facebook profile - www.facebook.com/lynseysdesigns1.

I also offer hitchers the opportunity to try before they buy as I have a wide range of samples available which might be ideal if you aren't quite sure and fancy trying them on whilst playing around with different hairstyles.

My website is www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk and email ******@**************.**.** if you want to ask anything. The majority of my work comes from commissions so I take into account the overall look you want, budget, dress and your hairstyle so if you want to email a close up picture of your dress I can use the best materials to match the beading detail.

    HTH

    Lynsey xx

    p.s. I offer Hhitchers a discount.
