Help with my party food - please : )

glynbo, 7 April, 2009 at 19:26 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I am having a party on sunday for around 18 adults and 8 kids, only problem is my fan oven has broken so i have miniture top oven with one shelf and the hob, plus I am quite heavily pregnant so want to make as much as possible in advance.

I plan to have a chicken, chilli stew thing with rice - tried and tested, crowd pleaser
A greek lamb stew which has pasta through it just saw it in Nigella's How to Eat
A large lasagne and then just salad, bread, potato salad, coleslaw and some cocktail sausages and miniture sausage rolls

Do you think that would about cover it or should I have a cold ham as well? My MIL is supplying a couple of pavalovas and I will have cheese, crackers and grapes for after.

Thanks x

That all sounds lovely and more than enough. Are there any vegetarians coming? Are the children fussy eaters or are they likely to eat any of that lot (mine will eat anything, lol, but I know a lot who won't).

Other than that I think it sounds perfect.

Thanks ?. I think the kids will just eat what's there and we have no vegetarians coming - a couple of fussy eaters but Im sure they'll struggle on.
