MrsCJ, 20 August, 2011 at 13:11 Posted on Planning 0 10

I am helping my brother with his best man's speech and he liked the idea of a video singalong type idea incorporating the groom's family and friends. Can't seem to find anything on the internet atall.

Do you mean where you have guests singing a few words of the lyrics of a song, then it's all spliced together and overlaid in the right order so its like people are singing the song?

I seem to recall seeing "Perfect Day" done in this way but I can't seem to locate it online at present.

Hey i know how sad this is going to sound but i'm addicted to DTTB!! It was the Gay couple and they did it to a couple of songs and had face masks of the groom.. and there was the welsh guy (Howel.. thats how sad i am!!) who did it to oasis wonderwall!! I wreckon you might be able to find it on BBC iplayer!! Totally love the idea and would love my OH to make one.. tho that would never happen!!

Cheesier than a Cheddar factory... definitely not our style... but if you think your guests are "up for it" then it's certainly something worth trying. I guess, however, it all depends whether you have enough people that would like to join in. It's probably better to not have it than end up with a half-assed unusable set of footage?

Yes very cheesy and very "us" they are really easy to do, Two of my mates used to do them as part of their production company and said that any videographer worth their salt can get it done with very little fuss... the skill is in the editing.
