Help with table plan please!

My head is a shed at the moment! Table plans! Ok my graphic designer who did my inivitations wants too much dosh to do one, so I've decided to do one myself but need inspiration! There will be around 70 guests and 9 tables.

So, I've been thinking of buying an artists canvas and then glueing names etc on there - will this look naff? Also, what about a large plain photo frame, one of those without the border and getting a large piece of card, then sticking names etc on top with borders in different coloured paper/card? I'm not very crafty thats the problem, I have ideas, but they turn out shite!

Can anybody share what they did please? My budget is around £30?

    Can you post a photo of your invites so we know what sort of theme / thing to suggest ?

    Thanks ooh la la, but all daytime invitations have gone out so haven't got one to take a photo of and evening ones are v. plain shop bought ones.

    This is mine

    not all stuck down - which is why its not stright.

    I used

    • 1 mount board - A2 i think cost £4.00 from local craft shop - but hobby craft sell them
    • Card - 1 box from paper Mill - £5.00 - didnt use it all
    • ribbon roses - ebay £1.00
    • ribbon - ebay £2.00
    • Glue stick - Tesco value £1.00

    So a total of £13.00

    Gives you an idea of what can be done - plus really it has cost me alot less than that as i have loads of the bits left over which is making alot of other stuff.
