Help with wishing tree!?!?

Cakeycase, 6 March, 2012 at 17:00 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hello,

I am new to this website (and this is my first post!).....VERY excited about our wedding in December!!

Is anyone able to help or advise me of wishing trees?! I have had this idea since the start of our planning, but am really struggling to find any. My florist is unable to help either. I'd really like to use this as an alternative to the guest book.

Does anyone have/or has used wishing trees and is able to help? I would be most grateful.

Many thanks in advance xx

Hi hope this helps, I am having a wishing tree at my wedding in August. I am hiring mine from Hand made by Gemma in Basingstoke she makes all your stationary needs. If you are not local to basingstoke then Look on Ebay and search wishing trees you can buy them as well as wishing tree tags!!!

    Good luck x

    Hello,

Thank you so much for your reply!

I am quite local to Basingstoke so will look into it. I have been looking on Ebay for a few months now, but not really seen any that I think are suitable for our wedding, although have got lots of ideas regarding the tags!!

Good luck with all your planning xx

You can also look for prop & event hire companies. They often supply things like this too.

We had a message tree instead of a guest book, we made it our selves very cheaply! my mum already had some storm lantern vase things, we filled with purple stones from ikea then got spray painted twigs from a flower stall. I also added some bead garlands to mine. then got luggage tags from the bay of E. i put a message in a frame inviting guests to write a message and add it to the tree.

here is a pic to hopefully help make my description make more sense! hope this helps!

We're having a go at making a version of this too - with bigger twigs (think they were from Ikea originally) standing on the floor in a big vase. We've had these in our living room for ages so I like the idea of them being ours. Going to drape fairy lights I think and then just make luggage tags with ribbons...in fact OH is printing those as we speak!
