Help with wording please...

Mrs Bloom, 27 October, 2008 at 09:35 Posted on Planning 0 8

On my 'Order of the Day' cards, I have a run through of the basics of the civil wedding ceremony, with the titles of the music which will be played, and the titles of the readings and who will be reading them etc.

How do I word basically what will be us exiting the room after our civil ceremony? For example, I have put 'Entrance of the Bride' which sounds fine, but I don't want to put 'Exit of the Bride & Groom,' it just doesn't sound right. The traditional words for entrance and exit are 'Processional' and 'Recessional' but this is far too formal for what we are trying to achieve.

Any ideas?

    Could you put

The Bride and Groom leave the room to....

    or maybe

Mr and Mrs XXX leave the room to....

or maybe change room to ceremony or put depart IYSWIM.

Thanks ashmegdj, I guess either of those could work. It still doesn't look quite right though, I'm sure there must be an obvious way of putting it that I'm completely missing!

It's so hard! I'm normally really good at things like this!

I think I'm probably going to put 'Bride & Groom leave ceremony' for now and see if I think of anything else before I have to print them!

    Thanks for your help everyone.

I have a whole separate page that details the events of the day and the timings, this part is just for the ceremony, but thanks anyways!
