help..what registrar needs to see b4 wedding?

From what I've seen, its just an interview checking the details you gave when you registered, like occupation, parents details, any reason not to marry. DOn't remember them asking for ID but I'm sure someone else will be able to jump in and clarify! x x

In the year before the wedding you need to give notice of marriage at your local registry office - ie the one where you live.

We did this last week and needed to take proof of ID, proof of address and the money. If you contact your local registry office they should be able to advice what type of ID you need, ours were really strict and asked for Birth certificates, passports and utility bills, but I have heard others don't need all three. Wortha phone call to put your mind at rest.

We then meet the registrar just before the ceremony to run through the details.

our registrar doesnt need to see anything else just before the wedding, the meeting is just to check all the details that go on the register are correct.

Thanks girls we did notice of marriage last year, and got the certificates etc so its just the meet with the registrar in the morning of wedding that i was worried about...you have both put my mind at rest so thank you.
