Hen do help...

Sam12345, 19 January, 2014 at 18:13 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi ladies

Its been a while since I was last on here but with only just over 7 months to go its time I started serious planning. My MOH and I have been chatting about the hen party, we have about 20 going but some of them are 50 (mum's/aunt) and others as young as 22 then us in the middle, we need to find something to suit everyone that isn't too expensive. I want to do something different that I wouldn't do everyday - my MOH is suggesting a cocktail class and party boat cruise in York but with accommodation that £150 (which I think is a bit much to ask of the guest), we could get a coach to and from Manchester to reduce the price but what do you think and what are you doing?

I already have an afternoon tea booked with a spa treatment for my junior bridesmaids and I just before the wedding so don't want a spa session and I am not really a big club type person, I like having a drink and a dance but would rather stay in one place than do a pub crawl....this is harder than planning the wedding!

Thanks

Sam x

I have the same problem. My moh has suggested ladies day at the races followed by a ladies evening with a dinner at the same racecourse for a drink and dance. Thought it could suit all ages plus isn't too expensive! X

We hired a cottage for the weekend for 21 of us - ages from 25 to 65!

It had a pool, hut tub, sauna and loads of living space. It was absolutely perfect. Everyone brought a dish of food on the Friday and all that food saw us through Friday and Saturday. We went for a pub lunch on the Sunday. It cost everyone no more than about £150pp all in inc travel and booze.

Thank you! Oh is going to the races , not sure it's my sort of thing but I'm going to suggest looking at cottages that sounds brilliant. Smiley smile
