Hen Do Planning time... help needed

moonpie1985, 8 December, 2011 at 19:20 Posted on Planning 0 2

I am having 3 bridesmaids. Two of which are my sisters.

My other bridesmaid is a very good friend who I have known for years.

Anyway, My oldest sister is wanting to start planning the hen do, or at least get ideas from me so that she can talk to the others and get the ball rolling.

Problem for me is that I dont really care for Hen do's what so ever. Not at all bothered about even having one, although I am sure it will be nice once it comes around.

Anyway, I always imagined just having a night out on the town and keeping it simple and cheap for everyone.

My friend has talked about going to Dublin for the weekend (as cheaply as possible), or going camping at flamingo land and have a cheesy time there for the weekend.

However, since talking about this and feeling fine about it, many of my hens have got pregnant and by the time the Hen do arrives, will have either just given birth, or will be close to.

I dont want them to not be able to come because it is totally unreachable for them.

So now back to thinking about having a cheap simple hen do locally. Maybe go to the local spa for the afternoon so that parents and new mothers can have a nice time, and then on to a nice dinner for all who want to join that, and then to carry on to some bars after that for the few that will be left.

Does this sound silly?

What would you do?

I think what ever I end up doing, people will question my thoughts over it.

Simple sounds good to me. as an Irish person I can tell you that not even the recession has made Dublin cheap. It's still crazy expensive to go out in.

I think that sounds great. That way everyone can join in for the parts that they want to.
