hen do question

Helybel, 29 October, 2013 at 14:21 Posted on Planning 0 1

Am compiling my list of hens for my "main" hen do (i may have a second do, lunch and drinks for mums and friends + extended friends who weren't at the first one due to not being able to make it etc)

so i have 10 definites including myself and my BM, but I have a maybe that I'm not sure about. Basically she is a bit neuotic at the best of times, and the guy she is with (and has been for years) used to go out with one of my definite hens before her. They split up of their own accord but stayed friends until he started seeing my maybe hen who banned him from maintaining the friendship and was quite off with her at the time. My definite doesn't have any particular objection to her coming along, she knows it's all past and as I say is married now to someone else. The other one would certainly want to come if asked but she is a tad neurotic. Do I ask her and risk tension, o do I put her on list B for the meal?

I know her through OH, he's known her for years. we see her and he OH socially and do chat to each other, swap xmas presents etc but she's not one of my best friends.

Am sure this is way to waffly and makes little sense but would like to hear what you guys think/would do

I suppose it comes down to whether you want her there or whether you're considering inviting her because you feel you should.

You say both of them would want to come if asked. I dont really see what being neurotic has to do with anything; she was probably a bit insecure at the time but surely she is grown up enough not to cause tension if the other hen is now married to someone else?!

Just ask them both. If the maybe hen has a problem with it then let it be her problem, not yours!
