My Hen Do (weekend!) (Photo’s to come soon!)
Fri 29th, I caught 10 mins of the royal wedding – Kate looked stunning! Very elegant and classy. Went for my nails doing, (as a trial for wedding) Gel Overlays – they’re fab!
My friends from uni gradually arrived, 2 from Sheffield, 1 from Manchester and 1 from Reading. We went for tea and drinks at my local.
Sat – Woohoo! Hen do day is finally here! Woke up to my friend making pancakes for brekkie!! And they’d decorated the living room/kitchen with balloons, banners etc! OH leaves the house – don’t think he fancies being in the house with 5 excited girlies!
We decide to chill in the garden as it will be a busy night... cue one of my friends appearing with 5 personalised t-shirts! ‘*****’s Hen Do, Bridal Brigade’ and on the back of mine says ‘The Bride’! They were fab! I even got given some pants saying ‘Future Mrs B**********!
We started getting ready (albeit in a mad rush!) and toasted with a glass of champers! More ladies started arriving and we all had a drink before setting off. My Matron of Honour arrived with a personalised Bride sash for me (stickers for the rest of the gang) and she had bought an especially made for me, beautiful head piece, 20’s style with massive black feathers!! (so much for me not dressing up lol) There were 11 girls (dressed in 1920’s gear) heading to my local for a drink before the minibus was coming to pick us up.
We arrived at the hotel – absolutely stunning! Met 12 more ladies and had a fabulous group photo taken!
My friend then appeared with trays of personalised shot glasses! How thoughtful! There was 23 glasses, all with their individual names on!!! 3 apple sours later..... J
The Murder Mystery Night was a ball! I was abit nervous, having to get up and read etc, but it was as bad as I thought! I would highly recommend them!
Meal arrived, clues in-between – food was lovely and everyone had a good laugh.
After we worked out the ‘moidurer’ hehe, we all descended to the bar area. Some girlies had to leave, the rest were lurking in the bar. My MOH then sat me down and pulled out some pieces of paper – i was nervous!! She also passed me a little 'hen do' book that everyone had signed, there were some lovely messages and well wishes!
She’d prepared some questions, that my OH had answered and I had to answer the same as him! This was such a good idea! We had a right laugh – some answers I didn’t have a clue! Some were obvious but my mind had just gone blank!! Btw, when I got any wrong, I had to keep adding an extra piece of bubble gum – I had jaw ache! This was another distraction for me!! (She knew I wouldn’t want to do shots!)
My OH’s step mum filmed this, so I’d love to see it!!
After we left here, a few of us went back to my local, then we went back to mine (Plenty of drinks left!) and we stayed up chatting til around 3am... was rather tired so thought we best go to bed!
Sun – we had a lovely breakfast at my local farmers shop/cafe. My friends packed up their stuff and left. So I had a quick tidy up and got the house back to normal.
Feet up, cup of tea and relax!!!!!
