Hen Night!

Snyffa, 3 April, 2013 at 09:15 Posted on Planning 0 3

Sooooooooooo Ive got to thinking about my Hen doo!

My options are: A nice relaxing spa day
Pole Dance party
Meal out

Which to chose and why. I will have an 11 month old boy who is breastfed that will be doing goodness knows what at night time by that age as its ever changing.

Who to invite? There are some lovely girly friends and mummy friends, a small select bunch, but then there is MIL and SIL and my sister and Mum. Do i invite everyone and whoever wants to come comes or should I be more selective and just invite my oldest friends....

Goodness what a minefield.

Also its not a great faux pas to organise your own is it? Im a control freak i just couldnt hand over the full reign to someone.

Im organising my own so I hope not! My MOH was showing know sign of organising anything plus I wanted to get it done early so i just went ahead. Is it just a day or night out you want to do? Or could you do it all? If your able to stay away for the night hen companies like hen heaven, chilli sauce etc do good package deals. We are doing 2 nights away, with spa day, boat party and club entry for £158 so you could possibly do 1 night away with spa day, meal and pole dancing class or something for less than that. How old will your boy be by when its hen do time? Could he manage with you away for the night?

Im only having my close friends coming, I thought about inviting all my cousins but Im not close to them so decided not to and im glad I didnt! I invited OHs sister as well but she never got back to me which Im glad about as also did not really want her there either! so I say just invite those you are close to and truly want there

As someone who just had a disaster of a hen cos I ignored everyone's advice, I would strongly recommend you do whatever you want! Organise it yourself, I'm a control freak too and I wish I did organise it myself! Pick an option that you like and, if people chose not to come because of that, ignore them! Pole dancing is great - I've just started classes and it's great fun - I couldn't recommend it highly enough! Regarding who to invite - strong recommendation to only invite those you are close to - even if that means a small number. I have only a very small group of friends and I extended mine out to h2b's relations and it wasn't a good idea!

I would do all 3 in a day!

Could you express feed your little one so you get a free day?

Invite who u want to invite, not who you think you should invite. It's your hen do.

Thanks ladies, little man will be 11 months and Will need feeds day and night, I dont do expressing, and there is no WAY! i will be without him for a night hehe! Money pennies mean I cannot do everything. I love spa days BUT with it being a hen dooo I kinda love the idea of pole dancing class, because I can do a spa anytime, especially with my wedding day approaching i shall hope to have some pampering done anyway in the run up to the big day....dont really want to see my MIL on a pole >insert weird awkward face< haha!
