Hen night - what did you do/are you doing for yours?

Puddled, 26 August, 2008 at 11:47 Posted on Planning 0 7

I have changed my mind at least 10 times from races, Amsterdam, blackpool, just a meal, night in etc! I need some ideas from experience!

Thanks xx

We are going to Bristol for mine to Oompah night - it is specifically for hen and stag nights and they apparently play cheesy music and my SIL2B went for hers and said she had a fantastic time.

It was about 5 years ago though so it might have changed a bit but we are going to try it. Has anyone been there recently?

I went here for a medival banquet and had a fantastic time.

I had people there from 18-70 years old and everyone said what a good time it was. I'd definately recommend it.

Went camping and stayed in a wigwam: https://www.wigwamholidays.com/mains-farm

    and went to GoApe: http://www.goape.co.uk/ContentArticle.aspx?Id=85&ate=214

then to the local pub in the evening for a drink or 6 and a picnic by the river the following day!

The first one is just me and my 5 best friends staying in a private villa in spain.

The second is two nights in York, friday night we are going for a meal.

Saturday we are going to a spa for the day and saturday night we have got VIP club tickets.

    I can't wait!!

I had a 70's themed party at my aunties & then the plan was to go to Manchester but we didn't make it , so ended up in our local town centre.

    Nothing, I h-h-h-h-h-hate them with a passion ?
I also have a bit of a problem in asking people to splash out vast sums of money in order to celebrate my wedding, especially because so many of my friends are struggling with day to day finances at the moment.

It's still a while away for me yet but I am considering getting my 3 bridesmaids round and having caterers do some really nice dinner party food for us.

If you dont like them then that is fine but they dont have to be really expensive.

I found a really cheap hotel in bristol and based on 4 sharing a room with 2 double beds in it it is costing us £17.50 each and then all you have to pay for is dinner or drinks or something.

At the end of the day the hen night doesn't have to be expensive the main important thing is having a good time!

Having a spa day followed by a nice dinner and civilised drinkies, hate the traditional raucous night round town type but then that's because I'm getting old, I'm sure 10 years ago I'd of loved the idea ?

    Just do what you want
