Heroes - last night

DeniseM, 23 May, 2008 at 12:34 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

I absolutely love it but what was with last night's episode?

Crap Irish accents - The bloke in the pub deserved to be electrocuted and burnt to a crisp by the mysterious woman purely because of his dreadful accent.

The backdrop for "Moscow" - it looked like a cardboard cutout.

However the budget did extend to showing New York after a bomb had hit it - bizarre.

Irish accents on US telly are always appalling - David Boreanaz as Angel was the worst offender. On the other hand, we gave them Hugh Laurie's terrible American accent in exchange ?

Was last night the one with Parkman's dad?

I actually thought Hugh Laurie's accent in House was really quite good. Now, that Bionic Woman girl from 'Stenders... another story.

I'm so disappointed by this series.

Totally bored by the storylines for Peter, Hiro and the Central American brother/sister.

Most weeks include some very dodgy effects - Claire and her new boyfriend flying a few weeks ago was ridiculous.

Has the acting always been so bad?? Peter is especially awful.

    I could go on...

LTP - yes it was the one with Parkman's dad.

As a series I think it's fab - I wish Suresh wouldn't sweat so much though and they could really do with decorating that flat - especially now Parkman is a Detective. Surely he can afford to slap a bit of paint on the walls.

I really did think about last night's episode too much.

David Boreanz could be forgiven for his crap accent because he is gawjus?

House looks really good but I never seem to catch it.

My bloody smilies don't work properly.

It does pick up but tbh I spend the whole series wishing the brother and sister would both die horribly horribly.

I can't actually work out where the South Amercian brother and sister actually fit in. At first I was thinking that the heroes are in some way all linked (from the people in the photograph), but I can't see how they fit in. Everyone who has a power seems to be related to someone else with one. You could probably do a whole family tree type thing. But then there are now some really random ones, like them and Clare's boyfriend, even Nikki, I'm not sure if she's related to anyone other than through marriage to Dalziel.

Its definately not as good as the first series - the creator has apologisied for some of the storylines - probably the twins!

Anyway Brits can have crap accents on American tv - I've been told Dominic West's accent is not very good on The Wire (my favourite tv show) by an american.
