We're after some DJ recommendations for Herts as we are struggling to find a DJ at the mo.

TIA

Martin Day Ents. We had Martin Day as our DJ who was brilliant but his actual costs are now £750! I've just booked one of their resident DJ's for my H's 30th birthday party as I was so impressed.

    Hi Tia

I may not be what you're looking for but I am a singer & DJ, I cover your area and am currently available on your wedding date.

Have a look round the site and let me know if you want some prices and more info - link is below.

    Hi Tia,

Would you mind telling us some more about your wedding and what you would like from your DJ? These are often questions to think about when booking a DJ.

    1) Do you have a rough budget in mind?

    2) Is it important for you to have big lighting displays and effects?

    3) Do you want a really loud sound system (for a club-type sound) or just something that is suitable for playing music at a pleasant dancing volume?

    3) Would you like a DJ who talks on the mic a lot, or somebody who is a bit quieter and lets the music do the talking?

    4) What styles of music would you prefer to be played?

    5) Are you planning on writing a long request list of songs or are you just going to suggest a few and let the DJ choose the rest?

Have you tried asking your venue if they have a DJ that they recommend / use? I have found the last few times that I have booked a venue that they were able to offer me a DJ at a discounted price.

We cover (and are based in) Hertfordshrie, and have played at many of the areas venues. In fact, we rarely need travel outside of Hertfordshire.

It does help to have a clear idea of what you need from your entertainment. For example, do you want a "party host", or a traditional DJ who will make announcements as required, but as Piano DJ says "let the music do the talking"?

As with Photographers, there are different styles of DJ, and once you get away from equipment, you're left with the personality and experience of the DJ.

This is the main difference between DJ's, and the most difficult to work out from websites and email!

We have covered wide range of Weddings. Many have been "traditional", but some have required research in music styles to ensure we get it "just right" (we did!).
So, if you want a party-mix, or a few specialist songs, we can certainly help. This weekend, we have a very small wedding of 35 guests, but have provided entertainment for over 250.

For all clients, we prefer to meet before they decide to book, to ensure they can ask questions face-to-face, and make a decision based on the entire package on offer. If this sounds to be interesting, please get in touch.

    Best wishes,

    Jason
