I'm a newbie too and from Essex getting Married in 2013 at the Ye Olde Plough

Gurzle my fiance works right near to Finchingfield and we have looked at Spains Hall. I loved it. Are you getting married in the stables or in the big building?

we are getting married in the big building, then having drinks reception in the gardens and our wedding breakfast and party in the stables so making use of the whole place - I love it!

Are you thinking of booking it, too?

That sounds lovely. The bridal suite is gorgeous isnt it. Alot of character. I wish we was but it would be just over our budget unfortunately ☹️

I loved the fact you could change the lighting in the room where the wedding breakfast would be to match your colour scheme (eaily pleased)!
