I think that's very good, even 100 invitations at £200 is good!

I charge £60 for my tableplans alone...

£200 isn't too much but I would question the quality of the materials for that price. You get what you pay for. Some people will make things for buttons but in my view they are usually designs you could do yourself for even less. Just depends what the design is like though.

So thats going to prob mean they are a bit rubbish then?

whats average for invitations? they are quite complex thats why i only want 100.

    il try to describe.

Square card with words on and 3 diamantes on bottom this goes in to a card enverlope which doesnt have the top lip on.

then a piece of organza ribbon is wrapped round that.

i want nice thick textured card nothign too cheap.

sounds as if im not going to get nice ones at that price.

It sounds to me like you're describing a wallet style invitation. (The invitation itself slips inside the wallet/pouch?)

Depending on detail I usually charge between £2.40 and £4.00 for them.

Quick question about the size of your wedding though? 100 invitations is a lot. Have you accidentally counted the number of guests rather than how many different households the invitations are going to?

    Yes thats the syle.

It would be around 40 day invites and 60 night invites.

Ahh, that's where the extra numbers are coming from.

Is it possible that you could contact the stationer you are hoping to get them off and ask them to do a sample that they could send you? I do this as a matter of course for bulk orders. That way you'll get to know the quality and you would have come back should you decide to go ahead and they're not of the same quality.

Ask for a sample (which is pretty standard thing for stationers to offer tbh - of they don't offer it then that alone would ring alarm bells to me ....) so you can see exactly what you are getting .... they could be just what you were looking for - you won't know until you see them.
