High waisted jeans

hazel, 1 February, 2009 at 22:00 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 27

There must be such a thing right? I know there's a risk my arse will look the size of a small planet, but I really need higher waisted jeans to deal with the post-section overhang. I've found some Levis that are possibilities - and oddly some Sevens but they don't do big enough waist sizes ?

If you dont care about stretch go for mens. I'm wearing Lee atm (as I wanted cheap ones) and they are quite high.

I've got a pair of jeans from Boden which are dead comfy as they have a bit of stretch in them. They are more high waisted than any i've worn for a while which felt a bit odd to start with but actually i really like them. Might be worth a look?

I have had jeans from M&S in the past but the latest set looked sooooo frumpy. Maybe it's the waist thing.

Next time I'm having a tummy tuck with my baby ?

All my jeans come from M&S - they do nice jeans now. They don't have elasticated waists ?

NYDJ - Not Your Daughters Jeans. Fantastic!! Google them. I got a few pairs in the USA in December but there are a few companies selling them on line in the UK. You need to buy a size smaller than your usual size too!!

You probably don't want to know ?

After a C-section when your tummy muscles don't recover too well and the bit that used to be a rounded tummy sort of hangs down. Grim. But hey, at least your lady bits are "honeymoon fresh".

I'd forgotten about these - I posted about them a while ago then never got round to finding some. Will investigate.

I can totally recommend NYDJ. They are fab, soooo comfy and sort out the overhang! Expensive but worth it I think.

Sadly I have overhang but no c section <sobs>

My ladybits were refreshed after a 3rd and 2nd degree tear - I wonder if they stiched my hymen back too?!!!!

I bought my jeans from BHS. I tried everywhere else and this was a last resort. Having said that they are a nice dark denim, strech well, are comfy and hold in a bit more bulge.

Absolutely WSS! They are a miracle in denim and are slightly higher waisted than average UK jeans. They lift and firm the bum, smooth the thighs and flatten the tum. Marvellous!

At least. It's worth finding an outlet and trying them on as they do a few slightly different cuts.

That bloomin' advertising banner at the top has picked up on this thread and has searched ebay for tummy tuck jeans ?

FWIW I tried on some high waisted jeans yesterday in Topshop - they made me feel like I'd gone back in time about 15 years but my tummy hasn't been that warm in ages!

Def one size smaller. One of the websites selling them advises ordering a few of sizes to try them out. Word of warning tho, they stretch more with wear. My ones are slightly too big now so I'm going to have to buy some more. So, if they are a snug almost tight fit when you try them on then they are probably the right fit. If you like them and get on with them, definitely worth getting any stateside visitors to bring you some back (when the Dollar is good). Think mine were $100 odd a pair.

ETA: Next also do high rise jeans, not as much give in them as NYDJ but much cheaper. Only one style though, and limited colours.

Because of my bag, I have to wear high waisted Jeans, I am forever buying them, because when I had the surgery the first time round when I was 15, all the jeans seemed to be hippsters and I never got to wear any.

Here are a list of places I have in the last year bought High Waisted Jeans

    Warehouse x

H&M- my most comfortable pair are from here.

Love Label @Littlewoods, got three pairs in different styles from here.

    Dorothy Perkins

    M&S

Next (Love these ones but too fat for them now <sob>Smiley winking

I have seen some in New Look too, but have not bought any from there - yet!

Also saw some in Last Season's La Redoute, but not checked this season yet.

    xxxx

I like the New Look Hula jeans - high waisted and come in a good range of lengths/ colours. They're only £10 but I like them more than any more expensive jeans I've had.

Not tried the NYDJs ones though - they sound like miracle workers!

Another vote for the New Look Hula jeans. Just a tenner and they are probably the best jeans I've ever owned.

I buy my jeans in M&S. I like the per una 'Roma' ones. They have a high waist and are stretchy and only cost 25 pounds which is a bonus as i wear jeans all day every day plus i'm on my knees so much now that they do get faded quite quickly!
