History Help

DaisyBoyd24, 31 January, 2009 at 22:32 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping we may have a history expert here that may be able to help with some History homework my daughter has?

She has been asked to find out which family has ruled their country for the most consecutive years?

I dont have the best history knowledge but we have done quite a lot of 'googling' and think it might be the Grimaldi family of Monaco.

Can anyone confirm this?

Many thanks in advance,

Daisy

    Hi Zoe,

I was having the same problem. Different sites saying different countries!

In class they were discussing the Romanov family. They ruled Rusia from 1613 - 1917. They were asked to find out if this was the longest. I *think* the Grimaldi family have ruled Monaco for over 700 years though they were exiled for 20 years and the Oldenburg family of Denmark approx 415.

    I don't know!!

    Thanks for your help ?
