Hitched Awards Night -- Change to Date

It has been brought to my attention that Awards Night, scheduled for this Sunday 11 Dec, clashes with the X-factor final and I've received requests both on here and by email to the voting address to change it. I am happy to do this but would like to see what alternative date would be preferable.

Here are the possbilities (though I must stress, I may need to remove dates from this list if my co-hosts JLC and Tray are not available).


1. Wednesday 14th December

2. Sunday 18th December (clashes with Strictly final)

3. Monday 19th December

4. Wednesday 21 December

I cannot do any other dates due to christmas parties/work commitments/travel etc.

If you have a strong preference for any of these dates, please indicate below. Only votes on this thread will count! The decision will be made on Sunday.

    Can only make a Monday after 7:30pm, or a Wednesday after 8pm ?

    That shouldn't be a problem, can't see us starting til about that time anyway to let people get in from work... This is also why we're hosting with 3 people posting the results, as one of the comments last year was that posting the awards took quite a long time, so with more of us posting in turn it should be a little quicker!

    Any but the 18th will be great for me. Normally I'd hitch while watching strictly but OH is in that evening and I have a sneaking suspicion call of duty will be the only thing on the tele.

    Well, I'm trying to see it as making it so as many people as possible can 'be there' to see the announcements. If it had just been one or two people, I wouldn't have come to this decision, but I did get quite a few emails about it. I'm just trying to do what's best for the majority. I really am sorry for the faffing!

    I'd go for the 14th as otherwise it's getting to be quite a long time since the closing date for votes. I would think there will be plenty of people around at verious points throughout the night, and the threads will be kicking around for a few days afterwards as well in case anyone misses anything.

    At this time of year a weeknight might be better to catch more people as at weekends lots are at parties, etc...

    Oh gutted, this is my first year of awards and I was looking forward to tomorrow! Can't they happen a bit earlier, it being a Sunday?

    Otherwise I'd vote for this Wednesday, the sooner the better!
