I think Lola took over one of the lists from Tadah, but I haven't seen her on here in a while.... Sorry, that's not much help but I'm on that list.

I was just going to post about this! I said I'd take over from TahDah, unfortunately before she left she wasnt able to send me the sixpence or the list (well re-send it as the first time it was corrupted)...

I did re-email her but I got a message saying she was off on her travels- I think she had a lot on so couldn't get round to it... unless anyone else has a sixpence (apparently there was another one but I don't know who had it), then I can't really carry it on!

I think either moonpig or 22tango should have the first sixpence but I'm not sure about the second.

Lol sange, there was a list of brides and each would use the lucky sixpence on her wedding day then post the sixpence off to the next bride.....

Dont think i actually got round to sticking myself on the list - lets hope we track them down!!

I am the only male rumbling around in this forum. Well this is my first day here. On my birthday this July, me and my girlfriend are planning to get married. Well coming to the point, I still did not understood what is the real concept of sixpence? So if somebody can take the pain, that would be a great help.

Well TahDah definately had one of them which she was going to post to me, but wasn't able to, and she thought either moonpig or bluewater had the other.

I have set up a hitched sixpence email address: ****************@*******.**.**

I will start the list again, so if people send me their email addresses and wedding dates I can keep a track, however I still need to locate the sixpences in order to get them sent on!

If anyone does have one of them, could they let me know via the above email address too? I will update as to whether I manage to track them down!

ericsmith- It is supposed to be lucky for a bride to have a sixpence in her shoe when she gets married. One of the hitchers started this back a while ago whereby we send a sixpence onto each other for our weddings! Not sure that everyone puts it in their shoe though, possibly just has it on their person somewhere.

I agree! I have just brought one new one from lucky sixpence- so I can send that to the next bride once it reaches me (hopefully in the next week or so), so at least it is a start!

If everyone sends their email addresses and dates I can get it all rolling again.

Hopefully the other one will turn up too, so we can have 2 being sent around!

I didnt have the sixpence. I think Serafina was before me, and she cancelled her wedding??

TBH with how quickly the wedding came round I totally forgot about it, I hope my wedding isn't cursed!
