Holiday advert block screen again

I can only see the top half and very bottom of the forum main page. Cant get on to off topics at all cos the advert is in the way of the link.

It's totally blocked for me too. Very very annoying! I can't use another browser either.

Please can you test and check if the forum is loading ok in IE now? You may have to do a force refresh (hold down Ctrl and hit F5) to see changes. Please can you let me know if you are still having any problems.

Its still there creating a problem

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for any issues you may be having regarding the Thomson banner on the forums. We put a fix in place for this yesterday which should have resolved the issue, but it seems some of you may be still experiencing problems.

The best solution for any of you still having problems is to use another browser such as Google Chrome. I do however understand that this may not be possible for those of you to do.

Please can you do the following:

Hard refresh the page by clicking Ctrl and F5

Go to https://supportdetails.com/ from the browser you are in and enter my email address aimee@hitched.co.uk (this will help us identify the exact browser version you are using if you are still having the banner block the screen)

It would also help if you could screen grab the page to show me what you are seeing. And email this to me.

It wont let me take a screen shot to show you. When I try to paste into an e-mail after taking the screen shot there is nothing there.

Thank you for trying, and for sending your support details. Unfortunately Internet Explorer 7 is a browser that is 8 years old, so it doesn't respond well to newer website features. Our technical team are working on a fix and we hope to have this resolved for you as soon as possible.

We have now fixed the problem on older versions of IE where the banner was blocking page. Please hard refresh the page (hold down ctrl and F5) and let me know if you still have any problems.

Can you try going to your browsing history and deleting your temporary internet files, and your cookies. Try signing out and back in again, and hard refresh of the page.
