I'm fairly certain I've used them and my Dad has used them going out to his villa.

They act as agent and are absolutely fine - you may well end up with a car that's from Solmar (Spanish car hite company) for instance.

Have you also looked at www.doyouspain.com - I regularly find them to be cheapest. Also www.rentspain.com

The big names are just so expensive!

I almost always use them - for all you know, you could well be using Hertz or AVis when you get there. Never had a problem with them, and they're usually the cheapest.

I would also recommend www.doyouspain.com my parents live in Spain & we always use them when we visit.

You don't have to give them any credit card details to confirm the booking, so if you see it cheaper you can always cancel & rebook IYSWIM.

Have you found doyouspain to be reliable even though you don't pay before you go?

They are a good £40 cheaper than Holiday Autos but as you don't pay till you arrive would you still be guaranteed a car etc?

Yep - I've used them 4 out of the 5 times I've gone to Dad's villa and my Dad uses them all the time.

And actually we've ended up with a bigger car than we booked on 2 occasions, at no further cost.

Yes, lost count of the times we've used doyouspain & never had a problem with them. Where are you flying into? We've used them at Malaga, Murcia & Alicante & all have been fine, we usually get a car from Auriga Crown.

How do you know where to go when you land?

There are signs in English to point to towards car rentals. If you head towards the exit, theres a ramp type thing on your right hand side, you go down which is where all the car rentals desks are.

It says that they charge you a full tank of fuel when you pick the car up, is this going to be a firtune and how they make their money?!

No, I think it depends on the size of car you have, but it's usually only about 40 Euros & you return the car with an empty tank.
