I'm looking for some inspiration... Where are you going on holiday this year? (The cheaper the better!)

    I've booked:

3 nights at Haven in Mablethorpe at the grand total cost of £40.

    Bit different from last year!

We went there last year - how did you get it so cheap?

It's a nice place, but a nightmare to get to from our neck of the woods. It's all A roads so if you get stuck behind a tractor you're doomed.

It was one of those offers you get in the paper. I can email you the details if you like? There are loads of different parks you can choose from.

What was it like? H's son and his ex wife went and she said it was a dump, looks okay to me though?

It's not a dump. Ok, it's a caravan park so hardly the Hilton but it was nice enough. One of the better Haven parks. MIL goes there every year without fail.

I'd go again for £40! I looked at it yesterday and it was coming up at £120.

    Go to: http://www.breakfreeholidays.co.uk/local

It asks you for the passwords you've collected from the paper but they are all listed right there anyway. Put Stoke Sentinel as the paper you got them from and just book from there. You can either do Mon-Fri or Fri-Mon.

We did it a few years ago, went to Beverly Park in Paignton and we had a lovely time. Cheap as chips too! I'm thinking of booking another one under a different name so we can go away again this year.

I really fancied Tenby but it wasn't available on the dates we chose.

Oooh that's ages away! We're going in April. I might book another in H's name ? I can't believe how cheap they are. We're going to take the dog too and just stay in the standard caravan so even saves on dog sitting costs.

I know. I want to go before that as well but H will be struggling for annual leave.

I'll have an actual newborn by then so I'm not sure how it will all pan out.

There's not much is there? Bedding etc I'd rather take my own anyway, what else is there? Does it still not work out cheaper?

Tops it up to just under £80 I think, my boss just looked at it all. I think it's £6.25 per unit per night for services and £5 for the entertainment pass.

    Still a bargain really. ?

Phew, thought it was gonna be mega bucks.

I'm sure we paid an extra £30ish on arrival last time. We also had 6 of us staying when we'd only paid for 4.

We didn't tell them and no one seemed arsed to ask. It was early September and the park was really quiet.

It was only supposed to be Me, H and the two SS's but SD came with her BF and they stayed for two of the nights.

We were up a corner out of the way too, no one batted an eyelid. It wasn't a Haven though, it was Beverly Park in Paignton so probably quieter and not as on the ball as the bigger companies.

At this one they won;t even let you into the shop without your pass which was annoying!

I'm looking forward to it now, anything to get away from this place!
