Our colour is purple, and this is what we done with our invites:

Printed the wording on card with a mice purple border and nice font.

Used A4 card to fold over the wording card to make the outer edge. We used a heart stamp to 'punch' hearts in purple card and stuck them on the inside.

The on the font of the card we put purple ribbon and tied into a bow, then used a peg to attach the name of the person the invite was for.

Finally we used a wedding stamp with silver ink to stamp the front and used purple diamontes on the front too.

I made my own and received loads of compliments about them. For about 70 invites, It cost around £40 for envelopes, card, paper, ink, ribbon, ribbon buckles and a decent guillotine. I have enough stuff left to do my table plan and table names/menus etc.

I got card in my theme colour, cut it in half sideways then trimmed some off the end, making 15x15cm squares.

Then, in ms word I put the details on, got 2 lots on each a4 piece. (practiced with plain white until I had it aligned correctly).

I printed them off on ivory linen paper. Then cut the paper to 14x14 squares.

Stuck the ribbon around the top with the buckle on. They were lovely but don't have a flash im afraid!

They were kind of like this but with the ribbon at the top and no lacy bit at the side. Although if i'd have known how easy they would be I would've made something a bit fancier!

    This is ours:

The invite is 15cm x 15cm when folded up as shows, but made from half A3 card (cut lengthways) and folded twice to create a Z-shape, with info on both sides. At the back, I stuck the ribbon and wrapped it round the front to tie in a bow, holding the Z-shape shut. Invitees then untie the bow to open the invite and it stands up.

The cards (printed by professionals, and also paid to have them cut and creased to make folding easier), plus envelopes, ribbon and glue worked out to 80p per invite.

    Here are mine:

I got all my card from PDA card and craft (all pre-cut) and I made the ribbon out of printed vellum.
