Hello, any one else thinking of making their own confetti? I cant find any in my colours! Anyone else or any recommendations for custom confetti makers or suppliers? I want heart shaped coral mint and goldglitter! X

    Hi there!

i am making my own confetti, I brought myself a heart shaped punch from the range. Hobby craft do do the exact same punch but a little more exspensive.

I am going to buy biodegradable tissue paper from ebay in the colours I want. If your venue always non biodegradable you could use any kind of paper I guess.

    i hope that helps :-)

Homemade confetti is on my nice to have list. I'd quite like to do it but at the moment can't be bothered so will do it nearer the time if the fancy takes me Smiley smile

You will have to check out the rules at your venue as some don;t allow any at all. You can buy biodegradable tissue paper from ebay in a whole raft of colours.

I want it for the tables as decoration rather than for throwing! Im nnot quite at the stage of color coordinating that. Yet. Will have to look out for coloured paper... I assume I can use any kind indoor?

Love the idea of this. Has anyone thought of how to store it? I've seen people putting confetti in paper cones to hand out but I've also seen at wedding's confetti just being handed round in a box for people to grab handfuls of- think this isn't a great idea, as you can end up holding it for ages waiting for the bride and groom to reappear!

Hey ladies. Thought I'd let you know I just had a go at making some confetti I started at 6 pm and finished at about ten. I only probably made enough for about four people lol. It is a bit tedious, but I do have plenty of time to do it and it's what I want and cheaper.

so be prepared it may take you a while to do diy.

If I make my own it won't be punched, it will be a pile of sheets guillotined to small suqares or random shapes and put into little white paper bags with a tiny heart shaped seal. This way it won't get sticky in people's hands and it isn't going to take overly long to make Smiley smile

I have completely forgotten where I just read this, but apparently you can ask the florist (if you're having one) to keep dead petals for confetti if you wanted to? Not sure if this will be helpful if you're having to prep it for so ong but thought I'd mention it! Smiley smile
