Hello,

Can I have your honest opinion on which dress you would choose and why you would discount the other?

Thanks in anticipation ladies

I think I favour the second one.

The 1st one doesn't look like it gives as nice a shape on the body, although I quite like teh skirt.

Best thing to do would be to try them both on.

I guess you are going for a vintage theme?

If I had to choose I'd go with number 2. Number 1 looks like a costume from the set of Oklahoma crossed with Oliver! the musical.

But neither are my cup of tea if I'm honest.

Much prefer the second one. I think the first one is a bit to fussy.

I really dont like the first one - looks a bit gyspy fortune teller to me!

I do like the second one, it looks like it would fit better and is alot more flattering

Out of the two options I would go for no. 2

No. 1 is way too frilly for my liking and looks quite medieval (sp?) - but if that is your style then go for it.

Oooh - I like them both because they are interesting! I think the skirt on the first is really 'wow', but I am not keen on the bodice - as someone else said it is not a flattering fit (but may be on a different person - worth trying!) it looks a bit 'saggy' on that model though. Second one is less unusual, but as a whole I think I prefer it - from these pics, it gives a better shape.

    Definitely number 2!

Number one looks a bit too much like a dress from a costume drama or theatre!

They both have beautiful skirts but I prefer the bodice on 2 - if 1 didn't have the ruffling just on one side I think it would be really lovely. I think I would prefer it if it had a plainer bodice or even had that ruffled effect on both sides. I also think 2 is more forgiving figure wise than 1.

But if you can try them both on because sometimes what we see as downsides can look great if they suit you.

I prefer the 2nd. Love how different the 1st one is, but as others have said, it doesn't look very flattering.

I think the first one makes the model look a bit fat and frumpy thb, but it may look different on. I prefer the second one. x

Definitely number two, as long as you promise not to do such a ridiculous pose in it like the model has!

TBH I can't say that either of them tickle my fancy,

they remind me of Ian Stuart (i think), the first one is ok, but the colour just makes it look dirty and as others have said an extra in Oliver. the second one is better byt I'd prefer it without all the embroidery round the bottom, plus again the colour looks a bit odd.

    Sorry

Personally I'm not overly taken with either. But out of the two I prefer the 2nd one. The first is very unflattering

    Hi,

I have to say that I really don't like the 1st dress, can't pin point what it is tho..I love the lacey details on the 2nd dress tho, and also because its plain in one way but not in another...I just think the first dress isn't in the same league as the 2nd.

    Hope this helps xx

Number 2. Don't like all the different layers on the first one. Really like the lace on the second one.

I love them both for different reasons.

The first is different and quirky....but still pretty

The second is elegant and stylish

The second - for me I think the first one is too frilly and the layers being different fabric textures don't quite look like they belong together.

Love the bodice on the second one.

Im with no 2 as well just find the skirt on the first one to busy. I would try them both on, i found a dress i loved but kept seeing picture of another one so to stop the niggling doubtsi went to try it on, i hated it but my mum got me to try on another one and feel in love with it and it was a sample so i saved a bomb!

When you try them on you will know which one is the dress for you

I think they're both really gorgeous, but I don't think H2B would like the first one so I'd go with the second.

If you do find out where it's from please will you let me know??

    Alex ❤️

I don't like either of them.

The first, I second Shoegal's opinion - it's too gypsy.

The second looks quite cheap and nasty.

.......There are some lovely "vintage" dresses out there, but in my opinion, these aren't they!

    Honest and brutal!

Thanks guys for your honest answers, it is afterall what I asked for. After feeling a little deflated by some of your responses I conclude that its all down to a matter of individuality "one mans meat is another mans posion" and all that.

Your probably not going to believe it but I have actually just ordered the first dress (SHOCK) lol ah well it wouldnt do for us all to be the same ?

I think it's difficult to tell without seeing them on a non model. I had something similar colour wise I think (it wasn't as yellow irl)
