honest opinions? flash

sept12bride, 8 November, 2011 at 11:09 Posted on Planning 0 9

thought id risk it an go for a china dress for my reception dress but they have made the bodice to big so that will need altering. Just want honest opinions on if you think it looks okay and i should go an get it alterd or weather i should buy a diffrent dress completely, cant decide, - i will also be wearing an underskirt too but not got one yet for it. The reason i need a diffrent dress for my night do as its in a diffrent place to where we are having our meal and il be getting a taxi there and back i dont fancy sitting all squished up in a big poofy dress.

Very difficult to tell from that photo but it definitely needs an underskirt, it definitely needs pulling it at the waist and you might consider a sash/ribbon (although that might compete with the bodice detail). It's a nice enough design but it looks a little flimsy - is it good fabric (the easiest thing to compromise on with China dresses)? It just needs a few finishing touches to give it a Wow factor.

I think it looks lovely, my first thought was that it needs an underskirt! I'm sure once you've got one it'll look different again.

Are you happy with the quality of it?

Thanks for everyones replies! il pop into town with it today and see if someone can sort it Smiley smile as for quality im pretty happy with it, only thing is the detail is lace detail is sewn on over the top and i had to sit there and trim it down myself as they had done it quite messy but what can i expect for £70 i suppose lol!

Very pretty dress. The top half does look a little loose so you should definitely get it altered if it doesn't feel right. I love tea length dresses!

I think it is pretty but I would seriously think about a sash. I think it'd really make it amazing!!!
