Honeymoon as gift

Hi guys, We have recently booked our honeymoon for Ovtober (also getting married in october!) The thing is we have already got everything we need so was thinking about asking for money towards paying for the honeymoon. Does anyone have any tips on how we can politly ask for money towards it. Our travel agent does do little slips to pop in invites but as the invitations won't be going out til may this maybe too late...how can we get round this?!? Little help as the last thing we want is for our family and friends thinking we are rude!!
