Honeymoon booked...bit down now

We went to Egypt for ours, it was incredible. It will be really hot, but you know that, so you can plan around it. If you want to know anything about the big trips etc then just shout!

Jealousy is a horrid thing isn't it! Take no notice - this is your dream and your honeymoon so go with it and have a wonderful time then come back and show off your tan and all your wonderful photographs, rave about it as much as you can in front of her and tell her how glad you were you chose to go to Egypt for your honemoon ?

I've been twice and am going again for my honeymoon. I'm so excited. I love it there. I've had friends go to Mexico and other exotic places and had to spend half the holiday inside due to rain. Me and OH are 23 and find plenty to do. Ignore other people and enjoy yourself. Loads of people have said don't go to egypt it's dangerous etc but I've never felt unsafe

You will need to learn how to say a firm no if you go out anywhere but it's all part of the culture xx

Pfft, don't feel down! Some people are just schmucks! You know it'll be hot so tell her to mind her own-did she think you thought it'd be woolly jumper and scarf weather?! My ma n pa went in July/August one year, it was baking but they had an ace time, I'm sure you will too :-D

I work in travel and it's a very popular destination with some lovely hotels. I was just saying the other day that its somewhere i'd like to go.

Don't feel down people have a way of putting the dampers on things. We have been to Florida in June and we are going to Florida again for our honeymoon in September. People were constantly telling us not to go and that it hurracaine season and being negitive, we went anyway and loved it. I am sure we will love it the second time too. Live your dream and ignore them, eqypt is going to be amazing and you will make memories that last a lifetime

Why on earth would you be an idiot for booking a honeymoon in Egypt? It's a beautiful and interesting place. Absolutely no need for comments like that - what a cow! As others have said, a touch of the green eyed monster, I think!

Been a few years since I went to Egypt. The diving in the Red Sea is absolutely amazing though!

We are just tagging out honeymoon onto our usual winter holiday, and that got us some funny looks. But we go to the same place every winter because we love it there, so why wouldn't be go there after declaring our love to friends and family.

Egypt is somewhere I have wanted to go also for a long time, so very jealous.

I have a friend working over there on a teacher exchange programme and she loves it.

Your work colleague is the idiot, a big mouthed one at that wanting to be centre of attention - likely put out at your big day and wedding arrangements.

Back to the original post - if you don't fancy scuba diving, would recommend snorkeling or a boat trip if you are Red Sea area of Egypt. Not sure about your work colleague, but feeling quite jealous of your honeymoon myself!
