Honeymoon Destination - Where's yours?

TheFutureMrsB , 12 July, 2014 at 09:33

Morning ladies, I've not really given our honeymoon much thought yet (depends what money is left!) But we just can't decide where we'd like to go. Where are you all going for yours?

We are doing 11 nights touring around Sri Lanka in September. Was about £2,500. Cannot wait!

We love to travel and always said if we did honeymoon it would be some kind of long trip - finally settled on 8 week road trip visiting Bahamas (for post-wedding relaxation :o) , various stops in the USA and a small side trip to Canada. My fiancé finally had his leave agreed after a 10 week wait for an answer so we were finally able to book flights last weekend!

Ah, these all sound lovely! I am getting quite envious!

We are going to have to put the honeymoon on hold I think, as we are in the midst of house buying, and what with that and saving for the wedding....something had to give. We both love travelling though, so will hopefully plan something for later in the year next year!

I'm loving the thought of all the fab destinations you have all picked! It's got me thinking about where we should consider...

TheFutureMrsB I hope you don't mind me asking on here, but does anyone have any recommendations about which companies are good to book through for the likes of Maldives/Mauritius or Malaysia? We have had a rough look but it sounds like you have all found some fab deals! Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated :-)

    Thanks! x

2 weeks in South Africa probably, 4-5 nights of Safari and then the rest of the holiday spent on the coast in one of those little huts on the water to just chill in pure luxury! It wont get booked until after the wedding though Smiley sad

How fab! What a treat for them. I've done both Sorrento and Rome (they are both amazing) but I'm yet to visit Venice.

We're going to New York for 3 nights and then Antigua for 7 nights.

Antigua is all inclusive (sandals) and we've upgraded our flights to Premium Economy (Virgin).

We booked with Thomas Cook and it cost 3200

Rather than gifts we're asking for guest to contribute towards our honeymoon, so it's really depending on how much money we raise from that. But we was thinking Greece, or if our guests (and parents) are very generous we'd love to go the US for our honeymoon.

We went to Mauritius and it was gorgeous!

It cost us £3700 for 2 weeks all inc. flying premium economy with Virgin Holidays. It was well worth paying the extra for premium economy as it's a long flight (about 11-12 hours) and the seats we had were amazing, so much room!
