Honeymoon ideas

Hey

There are quite a few honeymoon posts floating around and it occurred to me I don't really know where we are going for ours. We know we want 2 weeks, and we want to spend 1 week relaxing somewhere and 1 week doing something. Its this 'doing something' week that we are stuck on. I came up with going on a safari but the other half vetoed this. Does anyone have any ideas on an activity type week we could do?

    What time of year will you be honeymooning?

    Thailand offers the best of both beach and plenty to do such as Thai cookery classes, island hoping, elephant trekking, water activities, temples etc

    We wanted to be able to relax with all inclusive and also sight see lots of culture, museums, etc, so we ended up on a river cruise. Lots to see and do, but relaxing at the same time!

    Yea sadly Thailand is rainy season in August.

    Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with lots to see and do again elephant trekking and elephant sanctuary, temples, tea plantations, beautiful waterfalls also beach resorts so you could do a week in a beach doing a mini tour that what we did hired a private driver to take us around. Alternatively is easily twined with the Maldives (although you may get some showers in the Maldives in August)
