Honeymoon ideas please!

juliedom, 8 June, 2008 at 11:41 Posted on Planning 0 6

My partner and I love the outdoors and would love to go somewhere where there are watersports and places to explore but not loads of families and tourists - any ideas? Has anyone had a wonderful holiday that they could recommend? Very grateful!

We really liked Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh)- lots of snorkelling and diving, quad bikes in the desert, water parks etc...

Don't know if that's any help? We're off to NYC for honeymoon for pampering and sight seeing x

    Happy honeymooning x

We have just got back today from sailing around the Ionian sea (in Greece) on a yacht, it was brilliant , we are the same as you and hate doing nothing so it suits us as we get to sail lots and swim etc, for our honeymoon we are having a yacht from St Tropez so should be good. If you can't sail you can always get a skipper who can either sail the yacht for you or teach you.

Not very exotic but S spain is great for climbing and moutainbiking (in and around El chorro) and wind surfing/kite surfing (tarifa). My family live near there so we go over ever year!
