Honeymoon in Egypt!

Starlight85, 16 February, 2011 at 21:33 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 6

We booked our honeymoon in Egypt less than a week before everything kicked off over there. A little nervous now about what to do, If we cancle now we will loose our deposit, but if we leave it and things get worse again we could end up with no honeymoon at the lat min and will struggle to get away again due to cost and babysitters. Anyone else in the same situation? What do people think we should do?

I wouldnt worry yourself, if its Sharm its not really in the area that there are problems!

I've been to Salou and had a bomb explode in the hotel next to us so you can go anywhere and anything happen!

Most of Egypt is completely unaffected - just make sure you have travel insurance that covers the cost in case of emergency. It's a really lovely place to go - I've been myself - so I wouldn't cancel just now. Anywhere can riot - I went to Paris last year while everything was getting set on fire and I didn't notice a thing. x

    When do you go?

My mum is literally in luxor now, they did a nile cruise. Said atmosphere was tense, lots of armed guards but apart from thats its ok. You should be fine, they wont send you if its too dangerous and mostly the tourist places will be ok.
