honeymoon in the uk?

mocha, 25 March, 2011 at 23:29 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi everyone!

me and oh want to stay in a hotel or something after the wedding. it won't really be a honeymoon as we'll go on holiday later but it's to have our own space apart from being in our normal home.

not really looking for anything fancy but if it's affordable we don't mind.

i know there are loads ofhotel booking sites but it's kind of overwhelming.

basically we will travel from london so either we stay in a hotel in london or go elsewhere. if we go elsewhere we need travel tickets to and from there included in our budget.

so our budget isn't much. for the hotel itself we'd want to spend under £100 so that means if it's like a travelodge or something it doesn't matter but that is for one nights stay. however, if that's the case then we want a nice place to go during the day like a nice scenery area to go for a walk, sit etc. or an old fashioned town.

otherwise we can splash out about £300 and some more for travel if not in london, if we stay for more than 3 days. the hotel should be nice, but then if the area is good then hotel doesn't matter.

tbh don't really need food provided or any extras because we can bring our own yummy food or go out.

i have seen some nice cottages but they're not in our budget. but i am open to suggestions so long as it fits in our budget.

help.

Sounds great but i think ticket costs will be a lot since it's not in the south.

Have a look at some possible nice areas not too far for you to travel.. and then have a look at some late deals on http://www.laterooms.com as they always have fab deals on hotels. xx
