Honeymoon in UK with two dogs! Help!

Penny P, 12 September, 2013 at 07:54 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 2

Can anyone help me find a gorgeous, rural, secluded self catering place in England or Wales (Scotland is too far) for our honeymoon in March? We have two dogs and want to take them with us.

I have trawled the internet but nowhere cuts the mustard, and the places that do have 5 or 6 bedrooms which is ridiculous!

We want luxury but it seems dogs and luxury don't go together! :-(

Have you tried Cottages4you as you can select location, how many adults, how many pets and choose what price to pay.

We have booked one over Christmas for a week with a log burner and are just going to be hermits for a week with wine, cheese and bread and all for less than £500.

Let me know how you get on!

Check out Hollies cottage and Daisy cottage in Stanbury. It's rural, they accept two dogs. The cottages are brilliant. The bigger one (Daisy) even has a hot tub outside.

You are close to Haworth, the Bronte waterfalls and Top Withens.

We love it there. We've been twice this year to be honest. ?

Have you tried the website Blaentrothy Cottages? We have visited 3 of the cottages on the site with our two dogs and have had an amazing time. Walnut Tree Cottage is a small 2 bedroom cottage and gorgeous, we visited in January and it was so cosy. Another we have been to twice, its called Y Nant, and is a 5 star cottage and is stunning. Completely secluded and definitely good for a honeymoon. No tv or phone signal, we spent days walking and exploring the area and the evenings watching DVD's, playing games and drinking wine. Let me know if you want any more information, happy to help! Smiley smile
