Honeymoon Query

Hello,

I'm currently looking at honeymoon in late August / early September 2011.

Initially we were looking at Bali, Indian Ocean locations - all look fantastic, however the cost is pretty high. Especially when we are focusing on All Inclusive deals.

We looked at cheaper deals still All Inclusive around the Caribbean - Cuba and Mexico. The weather isn't brilliant at that time of year, but you can get some cracking deals for that region.

What are people's thoughts to this? Have they been to Caribbean in August/September time? If so, what was it like?

    I've been to Cuba in October, and the weather was fine (although to be honest I bloody hated Cuba itself). If you're looking to stay in a beach resort on an all inclusive you'd probably like it, that's just not the kind of holiday I enjoy personally.

    The issue with the Caribbean in August/September is that it's hurricane season - the actual risk is pretty small, but if one does hit you'd have to cancel. My poor colleague had rotten luck and had his Jamaica honeymoon cancelled two days before the wedding for precisely this reason.

    Mexico, especially further south, is much less frequently hit by hurricanes. I absolutely love Mexico - been back five times in six years!

    In my opinion, Caribbean is a good choice, congratulations to your wedding and honeymoon, if you need wedding dress , birdemaid dress or long veil, i know one site, it is really good, maybe you can have a look!

    We went to dominican republic about 5 years ago, end of August time. The weather was really warm although we got rain showers most days in the afternoon but they only lasted for a wee while then went off. One day it turned into a storm.

    we really enjoyed our holiday there.
