A few days ago, I posted asking for suggestions as to how to arrange our unusual wedding/honeymoon, in that we're getting married in Australia and then honeymooning on the way back.
A while ago, I ordered a brochure from a travel company that specialises in Australian trips, more to find out ideas for stop offs. One of their agents phoned me yesterday to see if she could help so I gave her our dates/locations and she phoned me back today with a quote. It's obviously a big trip and I'm expecting it to be expensive, but I'm not sure whether this quote is good or not - can you let me know your views?
Flights from UK to Sydney - no accommodation in Sydney as we will sort this ourselves
Flights from Sydney to Fiji with 5 nights' accommodation in one of their higher rated resorts, plus transfers (including some kind of launch to an island!)
Flights from Fiji to San Fransisco with 2 nights' accommodation in a 3.5* hotel plus transfers and taxes (I understand that you have to pay a nightly tax in the US)
Flights from San Fran to Las Vegas with 4 nights' accommodation in a 5* hotel plus breakfast and taxes
Flights home
Comes in at around £3,900 per person.
I will shop around for other quotes but what do you think?
ETA - I'd always planned on booking everything ourselves as I thought it'd be cheaper, but I'm now coming round to the idea of getting a travel company to sort it all for me. Plus they offer a discount if our guests want to book any part of their trip through them.
