St Lucia and Cancun, Mexico are our shortlisted destinations

Id love somewhere like them or mauritis or maldives but as we aint got the money to pay for one ouselves one of them locations will be for our second honeymoon lol

I really hope we can afford the Maldives but our money has had to be spent on the house so not sure now

Sri Lanka was our back-up with all the trouble Thailand was having earlier in the year as we thought it looked lovely. Neither OH or I have been but a colleague of mine has and said it was the most beautiful place she'd ever been to and is already planning on going back.

We are also heading to the maldvies! Can't wait!

My other half booked our honeymoon as a surprise - i only found out where i was going when i got to Heathrow!

On the bus from the car park to the terminal he told me the flight number and departure time then when we got inside the terminal building he plonked me in front of the departure board and made me look for the destination. Then he handed me a letter which told me exactly where we were going, and another envelope full of guide books ?

We went to Hong Kong for 4 nights then spent 6 nights on Koh Samui in a private pool villa (complete with Builter - heaven!) and then had 4 nights in Singapore.

We were supposed to go to Bankgkok but it had to be changed 2 weeks before we flew due to the troubles. Then the BA strikes started on the day we flew to HK - we were so lucky that the only HK flight that flew that day was the one we were booked on!

And in answer to someone's question about Sri Lanka - i've been! ?

Did you like Sri Lanka? Whats it like?? We'll be heading in early May, think it might be rainy season, not sure if that really matters.

Serious envy for some of your gorgeous honeymoon destinations! I hope you all have absolutely wonderful times.

As me and my OH have 3 sprogs to consider we will probably just get away somewhere for a couple of nights. Maybe Italy, close to a bike circuit if my OH has anything to say about it!

We're going to Barbados for 7 nights and on a cruise round the carribean for the second 7 nights, I can't wait, it was hard to decide where to go!!

Im going on a 2 week beach holiday to Kenya but going on a 4 day safari while were there.. cant wait!!
