Honeymoons in the UK

Hi everyone,

I have decided on a honeymoon in the UK and wondered if anyone had any good tips or ideas of nice places to visit? I wanted to ask the guests to contribute towards the honeymoon rather than a gift list as we have everything.

Any good tips out there?

We did a bit of a road trip round the UK. We started close to home here (http://www.hotelterravina.co.uk/default.asp) which was amazing! Did one night in Glasgow. Then stayed for a few days in the Lake District here which was beautiful - the food was great! (http://www.linthwaite.com/ ) Then stayed self catering in the Highlands of Scotland. Then a night in Durham, then a night in Cambridge on the way back!!! I wouldn't bother with the night in Durham and Cambridge again - it was too short to really enjoy, but the rest was great!

H2B and I looked at this place to get married and it is absolutely stunning- would be fab for a short break, although it is maybe a bit too far out to spend longer unless you have a car (or unless you're not wanting to leave the lodge much ?)!
