How best to decorate my venue?

Ok so my reception is in a social club and partner spoke to them yesterday and we can't go in the evening before as they are having a dart match so are only option is to go on the morning of the wedding and decorate, therefore can't do a definate table plan as I won't know how the tables will be set out and therefore how many to each table, don't know how many tables there will be, therefore how many centrepieces to do which isn't so bad as i can just dot them round and have a more relaxed feeling. So how am going to be able to decorate and plan my reception?

Are they providing the tables and chairs? Cant you just go in at some point before, even if not the night before and have a play with how you want things set up, maybe take a pic and work from that?

Be easier in the morning if you have had a practice run too..

Do they not have a free evening that you and your OH can pop along to the venue and have a few hours moving things around so that you have a better idea of the space you have?

We've asked our venue if we can spend a little while there a few months before the wedding to arrange tables and sketch the layout of the room out.

Hope that might be an option for you

I would try & get into the venue before and have a trial run. Ask if you can have an hour to see the layout & take some notes. Do they have a website at ball with any pics of the room?

Thanks ladies I think a dry run before hand is my only option to get table setting sorted. Now I just have to work out how I'm going to get it decorated on the morning ☹️
