How can I get this song in??

HappyRedStationery700, 17 December, 2016 at 13:46 Posted on Planning 0 1

We had decided to have the song "Parachute" by Train as our first dance song... Due to changes in the size of the wedding and alterations made (music being played from behind the bar area rather than DJ/band with dancefloor), a first dance isn't really going to happen now! I really still want the song to be emphasised at some point in the day as we love the lyrics and it means something to us, but as we're having a Church wedding I don't think it's going to fit in at any point there really ? I had thought about when signing the register as we'll be able to use modern songs then, but the music is too "rocky" I'm thinking for in Church... Any ideas of how we can draw attention to that particular song some other way??

Have it for the reception entry. There's a bit where you and OH will be waiting outside the function room, then the MC announces you and everyone stands up and claps while you enter.

Hmm I'll have to ask about this bit as we're having the reception in a garden, so people might not actually be in the seated area when we get there ? I'll have to see how it usually works there next time I chat to the venue owner as that could be a good option depending on what she says. Thanks! ??
