    Hi

I wanted to do the same thing for my BM's (a little keepsake) So...

I ordered some shabby chic small turtle doves (made of metal/tin??) cream coloured from ebay and brought some cute luggage tags from Hobbycraft and some cream ribbon.

I wrote a message on the tags asking them to be my bridesmaid and tied them onto the doves with the ribbon. I was amazed how great they looked... and my BM's were over the moon with them...

Hope this gives you some ideas... Good Luck

    Juliet

I didn't ask my chief BM she just knew it was her. I'm planning on asking my younger BMs this Easter (1 yr before). I am going to make them Easter eggs and put a message inside.

For my best friend I did a silly thing as we both have a silly sense of humour. I bought a little gift box the size of a ring box, wrote - will you be my bridesmaid? - on the inside lid and stuck a Haribo ring inside. We met up after work one day when she was in London and had a drink in a bar. When we'd sat down and got our cocktails I gave it to her and she absolutely loved it! I was gonna go down on one knee and the full works but I chickened out!!

With my sister we have a different relationship so I just asked her when we met in London a couple of weeks ago. It was really nice that way too as we feel like we're starting afresh.

I just asked... over skype. and MOH squeeled like the crazy person she is! My sister assumed she would be, naturally (for us, anyways), and that was that. I don't think anything else was necessary, really.

I asked mine before I'd been on any wedding forums, so I didn't realise it was meant to be a big "thing" with cards and gift boxes and so on.

We got engaged on holiday, and my parents knew so I figured my sister had better hear it from me, so I texted her "I've got a big sparkly ring, how do you feel about being a bridesmaid?" The other two were friends from uni, and I just called them when I got home. Lots of squealing.

I just found some pretty cards and wrote a message inside asking them to be my bridesmaids.

My sister is my bridesmaid, and I didn't ask her, I told her! Haha luckily she is over the moon about it and probably more excited than me, she's been fabulous helping me so far, and her and my best friend have planned a secret hen doo for me and I'm not allowed to know about it until the day! All of my friends know except me! I'm itching to know what they've planned.

My sister had no choice in the matter either haha! I'm sending my 8 year old cousin a "will you be my bridesmaid" magnet and card on her birthday this year as a (hopefully) nice surprise Smiley smile
