How Did You Meet Your Partner?

Me & my OH met at school. our sirnames start with the same letter so we got sat next to eachother in business studies. I was useless so he used to let me copy his work, awww! Then we started seeing loads of eachother, then he started walking me home from school, and the rest as they say, is history!

Myself and OH also met at school.

He was my IT teacher though...

(Disclaimer: He was only just starting out in teaching at the age of 20, I was in sixth form and very nearly almost 17 so it wasn't like he was some pervy old doooode and nothing happened until we had both left the school anyway!)

Glad I made you laugh! I love having a good story to tell about how we met and seeing peoples faces! I don't normally add the disclaimer bit as it's a better story without it but I didn't want people thinking badly of us!

We met via the t'interweb. He was looking for fun & so was I (had just come out of a long relationship) and we just clicked!

We'll have been together 4 years in Feb

My hubby and i met working part-time in a newly refurbed pub near to where we lived (I was only 181/2 he was 24). We went out as groups of friends from the pub to some nightclub after our Saturday night shift and that was back in Nov 1991 I never fancied him at first. I got to know him and fell for him. We finally got together as an item on 19 Jan 1992 (his 25th birthday) and the rest is history! We'll be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary next month although we've been together for 18 years now (married for 2) I think he had to make sure I was the RIGHT one before committing to a life long pledge and I've never been happier and love him lots and lots. ?

Ooooo.... back in the foggy past.... over 10 years ago now :-)

Following a break up I had moved to Edinburgh to study a Masters degree, (he's an Edinburgh boy born and bred)

We had both just ended long term relationships and ended up in a shared house with 3 other strangers after applying to a letting agency - our bedrooms were opposite the hall from each other and being students at the time we worked in two different city bars to supplement our student loans, this meant that we would finish our night shifts, come home at about 1am and sit blethering until 7 in the morning..this went on for about 5 months - all his friends were on his back trying to gethim to ask me out - I was oblivious (just thought he was a great mate) until one night we were in a club with all of his friends - the lights went up at the end of the night, the floor started clearing and he grabbed me and kissed me - the next thing I knew all his friend were standing round us clapping!

And that, as they say, was that! :-)

We met through work. He worked in Underwriting, and I worked in Document Services.

He played football with a guy I worked with and I used to DROOL over him everytime he came down to speak to him. lol

We were both at seperate nights out, me with my office, and him with his football team (and Kevin from my office) and we just clicked!!

Been together 4 years now!!

Blind date ! Set up by our sisters, who are best friends. We just clicked and over the years we realised we know so many people in common, went to same school (few years apart) even lived a few doors away from each other when younger and didnt realise, but never met before.

We met while working for the same company.

He was in customer accounts, and I was in customer service.

I didn't like him at first, until i had a "dream" about him lol.

Luckily he liked me the first time he met me.

We met on the internet.,after the breakdown of my 1st marriage, 31years. His wife had died a little while before.

I was looking for someone to be able to invite to parties, dinners that sort of thing where you dont really want to go on your own. Neither of us was looking for anything heavy just friendship.

We haven't been apart since the moment we met 3 1/2 years ago!

I met my OH whilst at uniI was working in the uni bar and he was the manager and my boss? five years later and were getting married this year!! YAY

I met my OH at work, so not a very interesting story I'm afraid! We both started training at the same store three years ago - he claims he thought I was gorgeous back then but was too nervous to say anything, whereas I'm ashamed to say I barely remember him! He then moved to another store but came back to cover a holiday a year later, we got talking, and the rest is history!

Met my H2B at work. I work in a garage in the office n he started in the workshop. 3 weeks later I had a rat (or squirrel, never found out) in my loft n he gave me some rat poison n told me if i needed help then to ring him. He came round on the sunday about 3pm n we sat on the settee watching some rubbish music channel (i had a massive hangover after xmas do!) till about 10pm.

That was 4 years ago n we get married in just over 11 weeks!

H2B was the first person I saw at university! he was living in the same hall of residence, floor below me, and i walked past his open door after saying goodbye to my parents. looked in, thought he was kinda cute, he waved, i waved back. we got chatting at a freshers week bar crawl a few days later... became really good friends, though i fancied him massively from the start! a few weeks into term, it turned into something more and it's now over 5 years later!! xx

I worked with OH's best friend & he came out a few times on various work night's out. I thought he was really good looking & really funny but he was seeing someone & so was I so nothing ever happened.

A few months later I split up with my BF.

Went out for my 20th Birthday with the girl's & some people from work, OH came out aswell. At the end of the night we had a drunken snog, didn't think anymore of it as he still had a GF (naughty I know). He got my phone number off his mate I worked with & called me a few days later, came & picked me up from work one dinnertime & took me out on his Motorbike. ?

He split up with his GF about a month later, I moved in with him & now we have been together for just over 6 years & have a 3 year old son.

Drunk. In a nightclub. Same way my best mate met her better half. Don't let anyone tell you it doesn't work! ?

I stalked my H2B.

I met him at his brothers 14th birthday party, nicked his number and txt him on and off for a year.Text that would say stuff like...Nice t- shirt I can see you.

Gosh I sound like mental - but it was all honest fun!

He finally text saying lets meet Stalker, and we've been together since - almost 6 years now.

Hi i met my h2b on facebook we had are first date in weston super mare and we both said we didnt ever want to get married ... well that woz untill we met each other ,he is like my best friend , one in million ,,,, could say now im a believer in true love i knew that there woz someone out there that was the one for me fate bought us together and that is why we are getting married ....? .

well, we both moved into the new built block of flats, he lived directly above with wife & 2 kids and i lived below with my fiance(who i was with for the littleman) & little boy

the day we moved in i went to the local supermarket to get some bits and noticed a good looking guy eyeing me up! his wife looked really pissed with him(i would be too!) and then we both carried on shopping, when i got into the flats close i saw them coming out of the car park and realised they lived in the same block, then found out they lived above me (que constant evils from wife)

we kinda had this unspoken rule, we both knew we REALLY liked each other, fancied & much deeper, but neither of us thought we could or would do anything about it

we trotted along and me, my exfiance and him got on great and he spent most of his time round mine(turns out it was because he liked? me) almost 2 years past then his wife left him for the local 18yr kebab boy (seriously!) and my fiance left me in the space of 2 weeks, and we were there for each over when we needed someone to cry on?

he went away to his aunts for a week and asked me to look after the flat and when i went up there i found a really sweet note saying that hes gunna miss me etc etc and it made me cry and i realised i had fallen inlove with him so when he came back i couldnt see him anymore coz i was getting feelings for him and he was still cutup about his wife

found out later he was fine just that everytime he cryed he got a cuddle off me! the cheek!? and that he went to his aunts to clear his head to start again (hopefully with me)

it ended with, 3 bed house, baby girl and getting married in 6 months time! been together nearly 3 yrs and weve finally got our soul mates!

bad start but he always calls me his best friend & soulmate??

At school. I was mates with his brother and he introduced us.

I was working as a club 18-30's rep when my brother came out to visit me and bought one of his mates along, we clicked instantly and he flew back about 2 weeks later, and then a couple more times. Then when i came back to this country for a 3 week break over christmas he said he bet I wouldnt go back after christmas as by that point I would be as in love with him as he was with me, and he was right! ❤️

In fact, the Moya50 is his nickname for me, i am still stored in his mobile as moya50, as you get 50 points for getting with the club rep! lol! ? ?

We met at school initially then lost contact with one another till i was at uni and then got a friend request on *ahem* myspace off him. we emailed eachother quite a bit when i could get online and then he came over to see me, the rest is history!! we will have been together for 3 years on may 7th this year and get married on our 4th anniversary. he very nearly didnt come over to see me!!

We met at uni as we had some lectures together. I thought he was a good friend as I had a bf as the time, but he would come round to proof read my essays, help me with work and ring me randomly to chat. turns out he really fancied me and int he last week of the first year we kissed. I still had a BF so went home and dumped him as i knew i didnt want to be with him, then decided that I thought i wanted to be single for a while. OH text me every day during the summer hols and I ended uo telling him to leave me alone, but the persistance worked and within two weeks of going back to uni we kissed again and the rest is history! we've now been together over 6 years and get married in the summer.

My parents think we met at a xmas party.

i met him online dating. santa brought him to my house........... honest! I'm just thankful he wasnt some mad axeman when he turned up at my door on xmas night.....and shiver still at my stoopidity) this is our 5th yr together...

H and met at work nearly 7 years ago. He kept asking me out and I kept saying no. I then left to work somewhere else but ended up going back to do a different job there and the rest they say is history! Some people said it wouldn't work seeing as we work together (he is effectively my boss) but we don't find it a problem.

...We met at work. OH started and I had to train him. I was engaged to someone at the time that I had been with for 11 yrs, but it was a pretty stagnant relationship. At our works Xmas party OH took me took to one side, told me he was crazy bout me and asked if he had a chance with me. I crushed his dreams and told him not while I had a boyfriend, and had a 'purely platonic' slow dance with him to end the night. For the next 4 months we flirted uncontrollably and told our work mates that we really liked each other (without telling each other that we really liked each other!). After a drunken night of txting he called me while my fiance was at work and told me that it was hurting him too much to be friends and nothing more, and that he wouldnt be able to hang out with me any more. After a weekend of practically none stop crying at the thought of losing a really good friend I walked out on my boyfriend, and the house we had together to be with OH.

Reading that back OH sounds rather mean for being so demanding!! But I think that it was the kick I needed to get out of a crap relationship. I found out that my ex met someone and got married within 5 months of our break up! We obviously werent meant to be.

The 'purely platonic' comment I made at the xmas party is probably going to make it into OH wedding speech...!

My ex and I weren't getting on very well (understatement really), so I decided to play on his Xbox 360 while he was at work.
I was playing an online game when a guy randomly added me. I thought nothing of it at the time but we got talking and I enjoyed chatting to him on a daily basis.
My ex left about a month later, and from there our chats got more intense. He lived in Scotland at the time, and came down to visit for a weekend shortly after. He ended up staying for 3 weeks, and we've been a couple ever since. It was hard for a while as we spent between 4-5 weeks apart at a time until he moved in with me about 8 months later. We haven't been apart since! ?
