em rose, 15 May, 2011 at 18:55 Posted on Planning 0 14

Just wanted to share what a lovely weekend Ive had!!! Went for food tasting YUM!! except we asked them to make Eton Mess.. and who knew this would be so difficult! it came out like a fruit mouse with squirty cream on the top YUK!!.... went for lemon tart instead (carmelised onion and goats cheese tart to start and lamb for main double YUM!!) and the venue just keeping saying yes to all our requests!! and my mum got her outfit AND I help MIL2B get her outfit AND FINALLY... I got the dress of my dreams (having had a bit of a disaster with the one before which I'd designed but went horribley wrong) sooooo tah dah!!!

Fab dress, and you're right, Eton mess should be much easier and delicious

LOVE your SA gown! Stunning. As for Eton Mess - a monkey could make it! It's yummy with balsamic vinegar mashed in with the strawberries/ raspberries.

OP - Lovely dress! But think Eton Mess should be easier (and nicer) than you've experienced! Spangles - no balsamic, will Sarson's do?

I love your dress. Does it have hidden pockets or are your arms behind your back?

As for eton mess I would have thought they could just make a raspberry/strawberry pavlova and crush it up, isn't it the same?

Oh, finally another SA gown! Are you going for the bespoke option or off the peg?

Yes jojo it has pockets!! this is my second favourite thing about the dress.. the first is the belt! It's of the peg just as it comes! The girl did try a few things (slightly different neckline, sleeves, different belt) but I just love it the way it is. Its so funny cos I had such a faff with my other choice which didnt come off and it was obviously not meant to be cos I cant stop looking at the pic.

Just out of interest... to veil or not to veil?? I have one on in the pic but you cant really see it.
