How do you rethread a drawstring?

Carrot, 26 January, 2009 at 14:06 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

Sorry for the dull question but does anyone know how I can rethread the ribbon in 2 pairs of pyjama bottoms please?

I will make an effort to be more funny and interesting to liven up OT but this is the best I can do at the moment.

Safety pin on the end for something to hold on to and just feed it through!

If you attach a safety pin to one end it's easier to push through the 'channel' (don't know what else to call it) from the outside, gathering the cloth over the pin and pulling it through that way. Works for me!

Attach a safety pin to the end of the ribbon and use it to feel the end of the ribbon when you put it back in. Then a bunch up and pull through action is required... (can't think how else to describe it)

Thanks everyone! I am so stupid it hadn't even occurred to me to use a safety pin.
