How early are you/did you get ready?

mickeyandminnie, 13 March, 2014 at 13:57 Posted on Planning 0 10

I've been told that I need to leave my house by 11am. Just wondered if that's really early in the wedding world eyes or perfectly acceptable?!?

Our church service is at 12 and although it's only 1/2 mile from my folks house where I'll be, I need to get up early in order to have shower/ have hair & make up done and pretty much be ready for 11:30. Tbh, I'll probably be up at the crack of dawn anyway so I'm not too worried about timings. (she says now...it'll prob be panic stations on the morning because I've overslept etc!!)

Gosh!! I'm getting married at 1 too and hoping my MUA, when I book one, won't have to be there that early; wanted a bit of a lie in! Although I think it'll just be me having my make up done, unless BMs want to pay for theirs.

I had been planning on exactly the same thing - a nice relaxing morning with a long lie in, a soak in the bath and a bit of bubbly! I don't have my hair trial for another couple of weeks so I'm not sure what time she'll be coming along but I'm hoping that it won't be too early.

I'm getting married at 2pm and makeup woman is coming at 9am with hair being done by another person in between. We want to leave my house (20-30mins away from venue) at 1pm at the latest. It only myself and two bridesmaids so we should be done by around 12:00-12:30pm

Crikey. I'm deliberately getting married at 3pm because I hate mornings and I didn't want to be a grumpy bride! Hair is booked at local hairdresser for 11am (we have a hairdresser each so presumably shouldn't take too long), then all doing our own make up, then heading in to central London.

We're leaving the house at 2:45pm to get married at 3:30pm and my hair & make up lady is coming at 11am to do me, moh and Mum. In an ideal world I'll still be asleep at 10:50am but the 3 of us will need to be showered and fed and ready to be preened before then. I'm probably going to be awake at 6am bouncing off the walls and waking everyone up anyway, haha.
