How easy are platform boots to walk in?

I'm just looking on ebay at 70s fancy dress boots and wondering how easy they are to walk in? We're going out round the city dressed up and I don't want to be struggling to walk! They look so high......

    I think they'll be ok...the platform is pretty chunky so the heel:platform ration is good! I have a pair of high platform boots from Zara which have a higher thinner heel and a smaller platform, and whilst I'm glad to get them off at the end of day, they're actually alright to walk in. have fun, it sounds like it'll be fun!

    I've got those first boots and they are dead comfy. I live in trainers normally so am in no way used to wearing heels but they are fine. I wore them to a 70s disco and danced all night in them with no problems. My feet were getting sore by the end of the night, but I think if I'd worn socks rather than just tights I would have been ok. They are very roomy too so if you're feet aren't very wide you may need to wear 2 pairs of socks!

    I also have them in silver - groovy man!

    I adored the spice girls revival of platforms, circa 1996. i had platform boots and trainers...

    wish they'd come back into fashion again <sigh>

    I know what you mean. I lived in my buffalos. Height and comfort - luxury! Platform shoes are ace!!
